Beauty and the Priest - Acrylic on canvas, 30 x 40 Inches

$0.00

I always wanted to explore the profound dialectic between the external visage and the inner essence.  A graceful poise, peacock feather and a string of pearls—emblems of outward grace and allure. An apple—a token of superficial beauty. But we are also engrossed in the contemplation of reflection, embodying the pursuit of inner beauty and self-awareness. The dual nature of how we present ourselves and how we seek to know ourselves beyond the surface.

Inspired by the classical Venus of Arles, my composition blends timeless symbolism with a modern twist, inviting viewers to ponder the complexities of beauty—its outward façade versus its deeper significance—as expressed through contrasting symbols and gestures.

'Beauty and the Priest'—a cheeky exploration of how we perceive beauty. Is it just a shiny façade or something deeper? You decide. But one thing's for sure: this painting is all about those delightful, nuanced layers that make you smile and think, "Now that's something!"

Details about the artwork: The artwork contains textures of acrylic paint on stretched canvas over a wooden frame and is varnished to protect the color. They Arrive ready to hang, accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity and a small note from the artist.

Packaging and Shipping: The artwork is packed in a 5ply cardboard box and packaged by me with great care. Free shipping from India to anywhere in the world. I am not liable for Import duties and Taxes.

It takes about 1.5 weeks to reach you from the date when the shipments are sent to the courier service. Tracking information will be provided to you once your order has been dispatched.
